Jing Li is an assistant professor at Academy of Art & Design, Tsinghua University in Beijing. He earned his Bachelor's degree from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, and obtained MFA degree in Glass Art from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2012. His undergraduate program in China was based on the classic academic art. Studying in America, Jing was trained based on materials, and inherited the traditional Venetian glass blowing and sculpting techniques. He received Honorable Mention in GAS International Student Exhibition 2010, 1st place in Midwest Contemporary Glass Art Group (MCGAG) Juried Annual Student Show and multiple scholarships from Penland School of Crafts, Pittsburgh Glass Center, and The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass.
